A11yra methodology

Useful automated evidence. Clear boundaries.

A11yra is a scan-first service for a defined automated accessibility findings report. It does not turn a score into proof of accessibility.

No compliance theatre

A report is not a certification, guarantee, legal opinion, or proof that a company complies with WCAG or the European Accessibility Act.

Defined method

The €15 report applies a 35-point WCAG 2.1 AA checklist to a homepage and four auto-detected templates. It reaches 26 items, including 11 of 12 critical checks.

Interaction included

Keyboard traversal, 200% zoom, 320px reflow, text-spacing injection, and focus screenshot diffing cover interaction-driven signals that simple wrappers miss.

What the report can and cannot say

  • 8 items may receive a definitive pass.
  • 18 items produce findings or advisories, but never a clean pass.
  • 9 items are explicitly not tested.
  • Human testing, assistive technology, content review, and real user journeys remain necessary.

Why this matters now

Accessibility is not optional. Since 28 June 2025, the European Accessibility Act has been mandatory across the EU for e-commerce, banking, transport, telecom and media services. Most sites still do not meet it.
