A11yra policies

Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information A11yra receives through public URL scans, accounts, reports, and checkout, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: 18 August 2026

These pages describe the current A11yra product flow in plain language. They are informational and are not legal advice.

What this covers

This policy covers the A11yra website, the public grade-preview flow at /generator, account and workspace features, private report links at /report/[accessToken], and the report checkout handoff.

For privacy questions or requests, contact team@a11yra.madethis.app. The current product does not publish a separate data-protection-officer contact or a legal-entity address; this is an owner disclosure gap rather than a claim that one does not exist.

Information A11yra receives

Public URL scans. When you use /generator, A11yra receives the public URL you submit, the generated scan result, score, issue totals and details, scan time, language choice, a scan access token, and a browser-generated identifier used to apply scan-rate limits. Public URLs may be fetched and scanned to provide the preview or report.

Accounts, statements, and workspaces. Account features receive the name and email supplied during sign-up, authentication information handled by the account system, workspace names and slugs, team-invitation email addresses, and statement questionnaire content. Statement content can include contact details that you choose to enter for your own organisation.

Reports and checkout. A11yra stores report-order metadata used to match a completed purchase to a scan, including the order and product identifiers, optional customer email, report-delivery status, and a private report-access token. Checkout is hosted by MadeThis; A11yra does not provide a payment-card form on this site.

Optional analytics. If you accept optional analytics, the site initializes PostHog to measure use of the storefront. This can include a PostHog distinct identifier, session identifier, page activity, and campaign parameters. See the Cookie Policy for the choice controls.

How information is used

A11yra uses submitted information to run public URL scans, display grade previews, create and deliver purchased or owner-generated reports, authenticate accounts, save statements and workspace records, manage invitations, prevent scan abuse, and respond to support or privacy requests.

Optional analytics are used to understand how people reach and use the storefront. They are not initialized until you choose to accept them.

Access, sharing, and private links

Public URLs submitted to A11yra are accessed for scanning. A11yra personnel with authorised operational access may review records when needed to operate, support, or secure the service. The MadeThis platform hosts the checkout flow and records purchases used for report fulfillment.

A private report is accessed through its report-access token in the URL. Treat that link as confidential: someone who receives the link may be able to open the report. Do not publish or forward it unless you intend to share the report.

This policy does not make claims about retention periods, international transfer mechanisms, certifications, or additional vendors where the current product configuration does not publish those details.

Your GDPR data-subject rights

If GDPR applies to your information, you can ask A11yra about access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and a portable copy of data you provided where applicable. You can also withdraw an optional analytics choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. Read the Cookie Policy for details.

To make a request, email team@a11yra.madethis.app with enough information to identify the relevant account, scan, or report. A11yra may need to verify that a requester is entitled to receive or change the information.

You may also complain to the data-protection authority that is relevant to you. This policy does not identify a particular supervisory authority because A11yra’s controller location is not published in the current product configuration.
