Essential browser storage
A11yra uses browser storage to remember your selected site language, apply the public scan rate limit, keep a scan-to-checkout handoff in the same browser session, and retain campaign parameters during that session. These functions support requested product behavior and do not use the optional analytics choice.
Some account and checkout functions may also rely on the session mechanisms provided by the authentication and MadeThis checkout flows. A11yra does not add a separate cookie banner vendor or third-party cookie tool.
Optional analytics
The storefront includes an optional PostHog analytics integration. When configured and accepted, it may use cookies and local storage to recognize a browser or session and record page activity and campaign attribution.
PostHog is not initialized until you accept optional analytics in the preference panel. Selecting “Reject optional analytics” keeps optional analytics off. Your choice is saved in local storage as a11yra-analytics-consent.
Manage your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer on any A11yra page to reopen the preference panel and accept or reject optional analytics. You do not need to accept optional analytics to run a scan, create an account, or use checkout.
What this policy does not claim
This page describes the storage behavior visible in the current A11yra codebase. It does not claim a fixed cookie lifetime, a complete list of cookies created by external checkout or authentication pages, or a certification of compliance. For data handling more broadly, read the Privacy Policy.
